Walking With Moms In The Diocese of Paterson
Walking with Moms in Need is a nationwide, parish-based initiative to increase support for pregnant and parenting mothers in need. It works to ensure that any woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, or parenting in difficult circumstances, can turn to her local Catholic Church and be connected with the resources she needs. Volunteers walk with moms throughout the motherhood journey, offering them authentic Christian friendship and ongoing support.
Our Values
Walking with Moms in Need is an opportunity for Catholic parishes and communities to "walk in the shoes" of local pregnant and parenting women in need, accompanying them in friendship and helping to connect moms with local resources.
Our main priority is to support pastors, parish staff, and lay leaders by providing resources and training to better equip them to serve their parishes and evangelize those searching for community.

Our History
The Pro-Life Committee has developed educational, pastoral, and action-oriented resources for parish use, such as: Tools for documenting an inventory of local resources for pregnant mothers in need. Ideas for improving parish responses. Prayers for building a culture of life and a civilization of love. Reflections on the teachings of Evangelium vitae and Evangelii gaudium.
Our team
Services are for pregnant women and for women in need after the birth of their child.
